Patricia Ledford, former Director of Emergency Communications had a passion for life and the works she directed. While battling cancer, she had a personal goal to create a functional Chester County Dispatch - 911 Center. She worked tirelessly to help design the center and equip it with the latest IT technology. Her wish was to take care of "her girls" who worked as a team and were family to her. She was a recipient of the "Clara Hitson Award" in recognition of her outstanding service to public safety and dedication to the Communications Center Agency. She has worked on Communication Agency legislation and has contributed to several agency boards. Assistant Chief of Police Tim Crowe describes Ledford saying, "she cares about her community". Sheriff Mark Griffin attributes Ledford's success to the fact that "she was always surrounded by the love and support of her husband and daughter and that's how everything she accomplished was possible."
Patricia passed away at her home in Henderson just after midnight December 23, 2025 at the age of 52.
Patricia McCurry Ledford was born September 14, 1973, in Chapel Hill, NC, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Faye Elizabeth Franklin McCurry.
