Many years ago, I went to DC with dad for a few days. Aunt Priscilla cared for me while he did his business at Ft. Belvoir. I still remember her taking me around the neighborhood, introducing me to friends and neighbors. Well treated by this lady all my life! Thank you for the memories.

The last of our mothers’ generation, the tides of time are indeed moving on. I will miss Priscilla but I have some wonderful memories of her.

Priscilla was our neighbor in Cape Carteret, NC. She was a wonderful neighbor and we grew to love her like a second Mom. We had the sad time to bury a few of her dogs, which brought sadness to all. She was a real trooper and was very independent. She was kind enough to allow us to live in her home for a few months after we sold our house before we retired to Florida. WE enjoyed a wonderful trip to see her in Islesboro Island and were given great tours and food from Locals. A wonderful time. WE also had the pleasure of being at her 100th Birthday in Bermuda. She wanted to dance with Mark on her 100th and we made it happen. A glorious event and so happy to be included. We are so lucky to have had her as a friend! She continued to keep in touch after we moved to Florida and always enjoyed her phone calls, She was an amazing woman and loving mother. WE will miss hearing her! Rest in peace, Priscilla. A matriarch in every way. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to meet her and get to know her. My thoughts and best wishes to the family.

When I first met Priscilla, she was somewhere past 98 years old so I asked for her secret to such a long life. She smiled and answered, "just be happy". After reading her lovely obituary, I believe she was indeed " happy" in her life. She was a remarkable woman with a lot of love and happiness that she shared with others. She will truly be missed. My heart goes out to Ellen and Sarah. Joanna
