Prisila “Prisi” Diaz, age 18, of Denton, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2026. Born on October 24, 2007, Prisi lived a life defined by love, compassion, and an extraordinary concern for others. A dedicated runner, she approached life with perseverance, heart, and quiet determination—qualities that reflected the way she cared for those around her.

Prisi was happy, outgoing, caring, hopeful, loving, and selfless. She consistently thought of others before herself and was a deeply intentional gift-giver, always ensuring her gifts were meaningful and personal to the recipient. Her heart for people ran deep—so much so that she often carried her friends’ struggles as her own. She would bring their concerns home, seeking guidance from her parents, Billy and Atena Diaz, and together they would pray and talk through ways to help. Many times, her compassion brought her family together in prayer for her friends.

Prisi’s love for people shaped the direction of her life. She was pursuing a path toward becoming an adolescent psychologist, driven by a sincere desire to help children navigate life’s difficulties and heal from trauma. This calling was something she held deeply and personally, and it was a passion she shared with her older sister, as they supported one another in their shared interest in helping others, each guided by their own heart and purpose.

Prisi is survived by her loving parents, Atena and Billy Diaz, and her beloved siblings: Nicole, Nataly, and Immanuel. She was a cherished daughter and sister whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and light into her family’s life.

Though her life was cut far too short, Prisi’s legacy is not measured in years, but in the depth of love she gave so freely. Her kindness, generosity, and genuine care for others will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation and Viewing will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 5:00PM to 10:00PM at Iglesia La Hermosa, 1108 S. Woodrow Ln, Denton, Texas 76205.

Prisi ran her race with grace, love, and purpose, leaving footprints on every heart she touched.
