Pru found peace at age 81 on February 8, 2024.
Pru was born December 26,1942 to Stephen and Anna Balistreri.
Pru was united in Marriage to Dennis K Bernitt Sr. on January 28,1961. They resided in Milwaukee before moving to New Berlin in 1967 where they raised four children: Denise (Tom) Bishop, Linda (Dale) Helgerson, Dennis Jr aka: Butch, and Tammy (Steve) Gasper.
Pru loved crocheting, cooking, cake decorating, baking cookies, and taking care of her family. Pru enjoyed being a leader for Junior Achievement for many years. Pru loved to read her romance novels and watch the Hallmark channel and cooking shows. Pru loved her gardens raising roses, strawberries, raspberries and tomatoes. Pru was employed at Boston Store for over 20 Years. After retiring she worked part-time at various stores.
She is survived by her husband, children, 5 grandchildren: Dana, Lissa (Matt), Theresa (Chris), Joshua (Amanda) and Tiffany (Juan). 6 Great Grandchildren: Gavin, Antonina, Mekayla, Tyler, Jacob, and Emma. Sister Santa Luz, Brother John (Pat) Balestreri and many other neices and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws: Eugene and Zillah Bernitt. Brother Anthony, Sister Joyce, Grandson Corey Gasper and Great-grandson Juan Corey Cruz.
Visitation Friday, February 16, 2024 at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
