Born on 9/30/1944 in Wakefield, Michigan.
Raised in Butte, Montana.
Married to Gerald Laverne Cooper 9/30/1960.
The love story of 65 years came full circle, Mom joined Dad as he has been waiting in Heaven for her since 2011. They met in Helena, MT. on a sunny day at Gertie's Drive-in Restaurant where she worked as a carhop. He pulled in driving his 1957 Copper convertible Tbird and it was love at first sight for a young sailor who just returned home. They loved rolling through life together, laughing, dancing and enjoying each other with a passion for cherishing each other.
They built a beautiful life together in Helena, MT and raised their two wonderful sons Gary Linn and Brett Allen. Eventually they traveled to Oregon and continued to build the legacy. 'Prudy', as her friends knew her, was as strong willed and as classy as they come, always fashionably put together and respected by all who knew her. Prudence built a name for herself as a celebrated artist both in Montana and Oregon.
Prudence was a truly gifted painter and a teacher of the craft. She shared her talents and passion for creating with her many grandchildren that brought her great joy in life. She was a woman of character and had an artistic eye for all things beautiful.
She passed peacefully without pain in the home her sons and her 'Jer' built for her. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and we will continue to build the legacy she created with her soulmate for generations to come.
Prudence is survived by her sons Gary Linn, of Grants Pass and Brett Allen of Brookings, and their wives Lesa and Kim, and her siblings Jack, Vicki, Darlene, Sandy, and Sharon Ann.
Grandchildren
Crissy, Gage, Moriah, and Gavin of Grants Pass
Whitney of Brookings.

Preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Gerald Laverne, her siblings Willard, Karen 'Tootsie', Patsy Ann, and her parents.
