Prudence Wright

Prudence Ann Wright, 77, of Poughkeepsie, passed away on December 9, 2025.
Born to John and Clara Wright on April 14,1948, she was a life long resident of Dutchess County. Prudence graduated in 1966 from Pine Plains Highschool, before moving on to Dutchess Community College and then eventually getting a degree in early education from Brockport University in 1970.
Prudence then went on to be a great teacher working for the Millbrook school system, where she absolutely loved all of her students. Deeply involved with her church and community, Prudence enjoyed acting, preforming in a few plays in high school and then also in a few church pageants, all while adding her musical talents as well with her sister Mary.
Prudence was a member of the Bengall United Methodist Church as well and the one in Pine Plains. She was also a member of the Tres Dias Christian Ministry.
Being a kind, loving pet owner with a very big heart, Prudence will certainly be missed by all those who knew her.
Prudence leaves behind her brothers David, William and Douglas; and his wife Jo Ann Wright. He also is survived by his nephews Mathew, and Peter with his wife Kelly: and his Nieces Mandy and Sarah with her husband Dave.
