Happy heavenly birthday to Uncle Q! I never knew his birthday was March 5th, but I'm happy to know that as a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, it will be his first one in heaven with our Lord. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.(2 Cor. 5:8). We miss him so and pray that his family, Aunt Georgia and Cousin Tiffany are comforted more each passing day. Rest on, Uncle Qunicy! I'll see you again one day! Love and prayers! Niece/Cousin Pat Scott

I look back on the fun we had celebrating family with Uncle Quincy, Aunt Georgia and Cousin Tiffany! I will miss his dry wit and sense of humor! I am so thankful for the PEACE God gave to Uncle Quincy in his health crisis, and the assurance he shared with his wife and daughter. Love and prayers to my beloved Turner family. May God comfort and keep you in his tender loving care.

I only knew Mr. Turner for a short while. My name is Darlene Jenifer and I was one of Mr. Turner´s Hospice nurses. He just had an humble spirit, although he couldn´t verbally express. When I first met him, I read that he was member of a CME Church, Greenwood. I told him that I was a CME, too (Coleman Chapel) and he smiled a little. I was always happy to see his wife, Georgia, his brother and sister in law at bedside during most of my nurse visits. I wish I had known him longer, I´m sure I would have received some life lessons. Thank you "Mr Quincy," as I would always address him.

My first memory of Quincy occurred when I was a kid in growing up in Memphis low-income housing. All my brothers were smart and inspiring, but Quincy pushed me to be more independent and inquisitive. His love for music, especially jazz opened my mind up to a more inviting world of knowledge and accomplishments. Our monthly conversations covered current events, politics, finance and most of family. I used to get and emotional high from talking with my aunt. When she passed Quincy and Feme filled that void. The last thing that I will remember, was he and Adolphs visit to Seattle. I finally got him and Adolph to see why I moved so far away. Your laugh and conversation will be missed. I Love You Brother.

It all started for me when I was living on Utah Ave. Quincy was using shoe boxes as replicas of mailboxes to practice for his postal examine. I was curious and inspired by this. I was blessed and lucky to have older brothers that where great role models. As he and I got older, we both developed a love for Jazz. So when Jazz Artist would come to town, we would try to make it a point to see them. We where not just about the music, but also the instrument that they mastered, and how they where doing it. He love football and basketball. As brothers we would all try to set aside time to be with each other to enjoy the games. I Love him with all my heart. He will be missed.
