R.William (Bill) Clement (81) died on December 5th, 2024. He was born on 12/16/1942 in Janesville Wisconsin to Bob and Mable Clement. He graduated from Janesville H.S. in 1961 and from U W-Madison in 1967 with a BS degree in Pharmacy. Bill was employed as a pharmacist in Beloit, Janesville and Milwaukee before purchasing the Peshtigo Pharmacy in 1970. He married his college sweetheart, Jeanne Joy in 1967. Together they raised two sons, Michael and James. They built a new pharmacy in Peshtigo in 1977, purchased and relocated a pharmacy in Oconto, and opened an in house pharmacy for long term care patients in Peshtigo. Bill loved his family, the community of Peshtigo, and people in general. He adored his five grandchildren, sharing his love of baseball and fishing with them. He belonged to the Peshtigo Lions Club, Peshtigo J.C's, Peshtigo Booster Club, and Chamber of Commerce. He was voted Peshtigo Man of the Year in 1998 by the Chamber. He was Scout Master for the Peshtigo Boy Scouts Troop 54. His passion was baseball. He coached Little League, starting a new team, The Pirates. He also coached Babe Ruth, Catholic Central High School, and Peshtigo High School. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Gilas Lake, making many happy memories of boating and tubing with his grandchildren at the lake. After retirement Bill and Jeanne wintered in The Villages, Florida enjoying new friends, golfing, and sunshine. He also decided to become a runner. He collected medals in 5K races in Florida and Wisconsin. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeanne and two sons, Michael (Renee) of Georgia, and James of Florida, 5 grandchildren, Tom (Kasia) Quigley, Nathan (Calista) Clement, Cassie (Bradley) Ganbin, Tyler Clement, Isaac (Matt Tatz) Clement, and two great granddaughters Karolina Clement, and one on the way, Haven Joy Clement. He is also survived by brothers Douglas (Sandy) Clement and Phil (Kelly) Clement, two sisters Cindy (Steve) Leikness and Betty (Tom) Hoppman, brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Joyce Joy, Beth and Bill Bittner, and Sue Clement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Mable Clement, in laws, Nathan and Marion Joy and his brother Tim Clement.
Visitation will take place Wednesday Dec. 11, 2024, at the Peshtigo United Methodist Church from 9AM until time of services at 11AM with Pastor Nate Reed officiating. Bills family would like to thank the staff at The Cottages Assisted Living for their loving care these last few months.
