R.D. Hale, age 82, of Glenwood, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024.
He was born on May 5, 1942. He was born in Jerusalem, AR the son of Gilford Urban Hale and Edna Irene Ware Hale. He was preceded in death by his parents; his four siblings, Leonard, Joyce, Maybelline, and Gladys, his two nephews who were like his brothers, Vernon and John; and his wife, Nell.
R.D was a member of Community Bible Baptist where he served as deacon. He loved to hunt, fish, ride his motorcycles, and most of all spoil his grandchildren. R.D was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Davis-Hale of Glenwood; his two sons, David (Shannon F.) Hale and Chris (Shannon M.) Hale all of Glenwood; his step children, Barry Davis, Bobbi Green, Shirley Breckles, and Robert Hale; his five grandchildren, Cory Hale, Lauren (Eric) Parsons, Dr. Ashton (Tanner) Phillips, Kendall Hale, and Joe Hale; his great-granddaughter, Millie Faye Parsons; along with many loving step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Robertsville Cemetery with Bro. Danny Minton Officiating.
