R L Henley, a devoted family man and respected community member, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, in Duncanville, Texas, at the age of 76. Born on May 12, 1949, in Richland, Texas, R L led a life marked by love, service, and a commitment to those around him.
Throughout his career, R L was dedicated to his role as a Quality Control Inspector, with FFE Transpiration Company, where his meticulous attention to detail reflected his strong work ethic and integrity. His contributions to the industry were significant, and he garnered the respect of colleagues and peers alike.
A proud Army veteran, R L honorably served his country, a testament to his character and commitment to the values of duty and service. His military experience shaped him into the leader and mentor he would later become within his community.
R L's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was an active Sunday School teacher and a Deacon and sung in the Male Chorus at Christ Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, where he shared his knowledge and love for the Gospel. His warm personality and passion for engaging with others made him a beloved figure in his congregation. He cherished the relationships he built within the church and was known as a people person who loved to talk and connect with others.
In addition to his religious commitments, R L found joy in a variety of interests. He had a deep love for gospel music, often finding solace and inspiration in its melodies. He enjoyed watching television, with a particular fondness for Westerns, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud. R L also embraced the outdoors, relishing in the tranquility that fishing provided.
R L's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family, which he cherished above all else. He lived a life filled with love and devotion, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by many.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing scheduled for November 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service will follow on November 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Christ Trinity MBC. R L will be laid to rest on November 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
R L Henley's spirit and warmth will be greatly missed. His contributions to his family, church, and community will continue to resonate, reminding us all of the profound impact one individual can have on the lives of many.
