R. E. "Skip" Reynolds

R. E. "Skip" Reynolds, 74 of Strafford passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at his home.
He was born July 30, 1950 in St.Louis, Missouri area to E. Ray and Margaret T. (Kalapinski) Reynolds.
Skip attended Drury University and graduated from William Jewell College in 1972 where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business and Psychology, Business Administration and General Management.
Soon after graduation he went to work for Ingersoll Rand in the Shetland Islands UK on oil rigs. Then staying with Ingersol Rand in Baxter Springs, Kansas he began with the water jet cutting systems. He went from regional manager to sales manager, to Manager of Asia Pacific, to Manager of Foods and Emerging Markets for 44 years. Due to Skips foresight, he instigated and changed their total sales to be 80% food markets. Their new food lab was named Skip Reynolds Lab.
Skip enjoyed anything water whether it was being at the lake or being on a beach by the ocean. He loved being outdoors on his tractor (drinking a beer) listening to his music, cruising his property looking at his fields of native grasses and wildflowers, and his 3 ponds with Max Dog close by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son, Colt Hardy.
Memorial services will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home.
