RACHAEL LOUISE (BECK) WILSON

1937 - 2025

Rachael Lou Wilson, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Hickory Creek, Texas on November 24, 2025.

Rachael Lou was born in Exira, Iowa on August 27, 1937 to Rachael and Louis Beck and had one brother, Eugene.

As a child, she grew up in Osborn, MO, mainly at Beck's Standard Station, as her parents and brother ran the business. Rachael Lou spent time there with her sister-n-law, Marjorie and nephew, Paul.

Rachael Lou graduated from the Osborn High School in 1955. This last May, was her 70th honor year at the alumni banquet. After graduating from high school, Rachael Lou attended the University of Kansas.

Rachael Lou then moved to Kansas City, MO and was employed as a legal secretary.

In May 1967, Rachael Lou married Dick Wilson. They had one son, Michael, born on March 18th, 1971. After several years, Rachael Lou and Dick divorced.

Rachael Lou lived many years in Minnesota and then Texas, but would drive to Missouri often, to visit her parents and Beck family. She loved to watch her son, Mike, snow ski jump when he was young. The two of them would attend concerts and deer hunt together, even going bear hunting! The past several years, Rachael Lou watched Mike fly hot air balloons! She was always up for an adventure!

Rachael Lou enjoyed cooking and being a great hostess. She spent time going to estate sales, thrift shopping and taking care of her standard poodle, Sophie. She enjoyed researching topics on the computer, always learning. Rachael Lou loved phone visits with her nieces and nephew, keeping up with them and their families.

Rachael Lou was a proud mother to her son, Mike, a devoted daughter to her parents; taking great care of each of them until their passing. She was "little sister" to her brother, Eugene, as she was 17 years younger than him and was a loving and caring Aunt to her nieces and nephews. Rachael Lou had a strong bond with her sister-in- law, Marjorie, and they stayed very close throughout the years.

Rachael Lou lived a full, spirited life and never lost her fearless sense of adventure or humor! She embodied intelligence, courage and resiliency and was admired for those qualities. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength and curiosity that touched everyone who knew her. Rachael Lou will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
