Rachel Bell (47) passed away on Saturday, February 26th, 2022, after a courageous 15-month battle with brain cancer. She was at peace in her home and surrounded by her husband and children when she stepped through to the other side of the veil. Rachel was an extraordinary wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and follower of the Savior.

Rachel was born April 15, 1974, in Bountiful Utah to Linda and Terry B. Roundy. The oldest of five children, Rachel was fiercely loyal to her family and loved her parents and each of her siblings dearly.

Rachel graduated from South Freemont High School in St. Anthony Idaho with honors. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Santiago West Chile mission. She then graduated in elementary education from Brigham Young University and taught second grade and bilingual kindergarten at Backman Elementary School.

On November 20th, 1999, she married the love of her life, Lance Bell, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they built their home and over the years welcomed their four beautiful children: Emmeline, Jack, Audrey, and Calvin. Rachel loved being a mother with all her heart and made this the top priority of her life. She often said that she was never more confident in what she was doing than when she was carrying each of her children and preparing to bring them into the world.

Rachel was passionate about many things in her life. She home schooled each of her children and devoted herself to planning and providing an education program that was filled with adventure, imagination, love of learning, creativity, and fun. Her children were so blessed to receive the very best of their mother as she poured her soul into teaching them day after day about everything.

Rachel was also very passionate about what she ate, and she loved eating a whole food plant-based diet. She studied extensively and obtained a great deal of satisfaction from cooking, eating, and serving her family what she determined was the healthiest food.

She had such a zest for life and loved going on hikes with her kids, road trips with her mother, spending the day at the ballpark or dance competition, going on family vacations big and small, and playing games with her family or just relaxing in the evening with her husband.

Some of the qualities that she will be remembered for are her never-ending optimism, her bravery, and her integrity. Throughout her life she epitomized what has become her family's motto of, "We are Brave, and we are Tough", as she faced the trials of her life with faith and trust in the Lord.

Rachel loves her Savior, Jesus Christ, and spent her life striving to be Christlike. She has now been taken home to that God who gave her life. And has been received into His loving embrace in a state of rest and peace where she is certain to continue her service to the Lord.

Rachel is survived by her husband, K. Lance Bell; their children, Emmeline, Jack, Audrey, and Calvin; her parents, Terry B. Roundy and Linda Roundy; her brothers and sister, Robert C. Roundy (Lindsi), Audree Lawrence (Brian), and William P. Roundy (Sariah); grandmother Erma H. Redd; in-laws Kenneth W. and Robbi Bell, R. Brett Bell (Jill), W. Marc Bell (Ashley), J. Scott Bell, and Staci Williams (Tyler).

Rachel was preceded in death by her brother, James C. Roundy; her grandfather, John P. (Jack) Redd; her grandparents, Robert L. and E. Myrl Roundy; and nephews Austin and Kailen Bell.
