Rachel Travis Dellinger

Rachel Jane Travis Dellinger, age 80, of Tot Dellinger Road passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at her home. She was born January 24, 1938 in Lincoln County to the late Lee and Lena Lackey Travis. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. Rachel enjoyed farming, thrifting, attending church and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Bryant and granddaughter-in-law, Beverly Walls. She is survived by her husband, Carl C. "Boozie" Dellinger; children, Becky Walls and husband, Ronnie of Cherryville and Carl 'Little Booze' Dellinger and fiancé, Nicole Blaylock of Cherryville; grandchildren, Carly Dellinger, Chesley Walls, Travis Walls and wife, Whitney, Angie Anthony and husband, Wes, and Abby Brown and husband, Marcus; great-grandchildren, Alli Anthony, Alex Anthony, Katie Walls, Brent Walls, Lawson Walls, and Miles Brown; siblings, Marie Grant, Ruby Canipe, Nancy Hartsoe, Prue Houk and Nick Travis. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Jerry Lail and Rev. Wayne Key officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
