Will miss her. She had such a powerful personality. I always loved our gatherings. She was the life of the party. Hope this season brings her family peace and comfort.

No one was as unique as my Aunt Rachel. I always knew where she stood on any opinion. I still see her freeze, look contemplative with those gorgeous big eyes, and then answer my questions wilth an unexpected perspective- and way outside the box. I loved her sence of humor, I loved the way she loved her family, I loved the way she loved me, despite my not keeping in touch. I am so thankful that I was able to see her in late October. Although, quite ill, In most ways she was still the sweet, humorist, devilish Auntie that took care of me so many years ago. Thank you Rachel for all the laughs, the many, many gifts, the nice visits, and the love you shared with all your family and expecially for caring so much for your sister, my Mom . My heart goes out to Max and the children. We all lost Rachel too soon. May you be comforted by all the wonderful memories and her ever present love. Patty Block, Loveland Colorado

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of my auntie Rachel. My condolences to the family! So many memories flood into my mind! She was visiting us in Maryland when it snowed and Rachel made us four kids ice cream in a big bowl from the snow. She showed us how to make snow angels, too. And how could I forget when she was fifteen and visiting us in Alexandria, VA? She took all of us, except my brother who had had rheumatic fever, to the swimming pool. After a spell we started home, but when we reached the big empty field across the street from our house, Rachel took off running! Police cars, fire trucks, emergency vehicles everywhere! Evidently my brother had taken the opportunity to set the house on fire while home "resting". Rachel was funny, flamboyant, and loved us wholeheartedly. I am so glad for the visits. May she rest in peace, and may her memories comfort the family in their time of loss.
