Lord & Stephens Funeral Home - WestRachel Whitworth Eubank, age 97 of Watkinsville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 27th in the Presbyterian Village Memory Care Unit among family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Troy Chandler Whitworth and Pearl Gunnells Whitworth. Once a member of a family of seven, she is now survived by one sole sister, Joann Whitworth Dean (Mrs. Byron D. Dean)
Rachel was truly a Proverbs 31 Lady! Deeply devoted to family and friends and her Church at Mars Hill Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Eubank, to whom she was married just under 50 years. Together they had two girls: Cathy Eubank Seymour (Mrs. James Allen Seymour) and Jeannie Eubank Singleton (Mrs. Donnie A. Singleton).
She had three Grandchildren: Jonathan Seymour, Daniel Seymour (Mrs. Beth Forrest Seymour) and Megan Singleton (Fiancé, Nate Boule). One Great Granddaughter, Virginia Seymour (Mrs. Joseph Zeringue) and their twin boys, Dominick and Gabriel (Two of Rachel’s Great Great Grandchildren) along with one Great Grandson, Caden Strother, (Fiancé Stephanie Brena) and one Great Great Grandson, Marco.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at The Presbyterian Village – Athens Chapel. 8021 Macon Highway, Athens, Georgia 30606 at 11:00 a.m. The family will visit with family and friends following the service.
The family would ask that in lieu of flowers, any and all memorial gifts and donations be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church, 2641 Mars Hill Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677 in memory of Rachel W. Eubank.
