Rachel Anita Watson Johnson was born May 19, 1934, in Terrell Texas to the parentage of the late Eddie Watson, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Watson. She was educated in the Terrell School District.

Rachel was a loving wife to her husband Isaac "IV" Johnson, and a devoted mother to 8 children and was very influential in shaping the lives of many of her grandchildren. She cared for the community of which she was a part, and whenever there was a need, she was available to help in whatever capacity that was necessary.

Rachel was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many through her loving spirit and unwavering commitment to family.

Rachel obeyed the gospel and accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a very early age. She was a faithful member of the Carver Heights Baptist Church for many years and served wherever needed. Afterwards, she was a charter member of the Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, and worshipped there faithfully, until her health prohibited her from being physically in attendance.

Rachel was the matriarch of her family, a strong and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Rachel Anita Johnson passed away on January 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories. A viewing will be held on January 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lincoln Funeral Home & Memorial Parks. The funeral service will take place on January 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 7550 South Hampton Rd, Dallas, Texas 75232.

Rachel's spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish her memory. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will continue to inspire those who knew her
