Rachel Losh-Johnson Obituary

Rachel Joy Losh-Johnson, age 48 of Remer, MN, began her journey home, November 16, 2025, in Grand Rapids, MN.

Rachel was born in Milaca, MN on April 16, 1977. She was proud to be the tenth child adopted by Dennis and Nancy Johnson who provided her with a lifetime of unconditional love.

Rachel grew up in Remer, MN, and graduated from Northland High School. In her youth she loved riding horses and spending her days at the lake. There were countless trips to Smart Skate in Bemidji and Valley Fair adventures with her close friends. Rachel treasured the memories she shared with her family and her best friend Gina. From fun trips with each other's families to Florida and Canada, to keeping Rachel's mother, Nancy constantly on her toes!

At the center of her life was the love she had for her children and grandchildren. More than anything, Rachel loved being a grandma to her four granddaughters. She and her daughter, Savannah were inseparable and best friends. Rachel was so proud of all of her nursing accomplishments as she was Rachel's main caregiver and stood by her side until the very end.

Rachel was an outgoing soul that loved living the fast life. Driving around and listening to music always brought her happiness. She would shop like it was going out of style and was never without her cell phone or some electronic device!

There is no more suffering Mom, rest in eternal peace. Love you long time.

Rachel is survived by her daughters, Hailee Hinsz, Savannah Hinsz, and Christa Hinsz; grandchildren, Mia Robinson, Nina Losh, Katrina Burnette, and Athena White; stepson, Donny (Tayden) Losh; siblings, Brad Johnson, Eric Johnson, Trygve Johnson, Brenda (Doug) Dickson, Jenny (Craig) Jones, Joshua (Chance, Nova) Ahlbom, and Ricky Potts; biological parents, Jackie Potts and Timothy Procopio; grandfather, Dan Procopio; many nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Dennis and Nancy Johnson; brothers, Kelly Johnson and Bruce Johnson; grandparents, Mary Ellen "Dolly" Procopio and Les and Helen Johnson; and good friend, Joseph Wilson.

A Celebration of Life to honor Rachel will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at Boy River City Hall, 222 E 2nd Ave, Boy River, Minnesota 56672.
