Rachel R. Vallejo

In Loving Memory of Rachel R. Vallejo, 72 years old. It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Rachel R. Vallejo, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully left this world on December 29, 2024, surrounded by her children.
Born on April 3, 1952, in Kingsville, TX, Rachel was a beacon of kindness, compassion, and strength. Her life was defined by selflessness and an unwavering dedication to her family and community. She brought warmth and light to every room she entered, always quick with a smile, a word of encouragement, or a helping hand.
Rachel devoted her life to nurturing those she loved. As a mother, she guided her children with boundless love, patience, and wisdom, teaching them the values of empathy, resilience, and hard work. She celebrated their successes and comforted them in times of need, leaving behind a legacy of love that will live on in their hearts.
In addition to her devotion to her family, Rachel was a 1971 Moody Trojan graduate and retired as a nurse in 1999.
She was happiest when surrounded by her family, whether it was during holiday dinners or simple afternoons spent sharing stories and laughter. Her love extended beyond words, manifesting in thoughtful gestures and an open heart that welcomed everyone as family.
Rachel is survived by her husband, Francisco Vallejo, her children- Lydia Walker, Richard Alvarado, Elizabeth Alvarado (Marc Barnes), her grandchildren- Timothy, Joseph, Rihanna, and countless friends and extended family members whose lives she touched.
A visitation will be held on January 7, 2025, at the Corpus Christi Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm that same evening. On January 8, 2025, a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, at the same location. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor her memory.
Though she has departed this world, her love, wisdom, and kindness will forever echo in the hearts of those she left behind. Rest peacefully, Rachel. You were deeply loved, and you will be dearly missed.
