Rachel Marie Walvoord

Rachel Marie Walvoord, the daughter of Jon Byron and Diana Faye Manley Walvoord, was born December 16, 1975 in Spencer, Iowa. Rachel received her early education in Spencer and graduated from Spencer High School in 1994. She continued her education at Iowa Central College in Fort Dodge and Iowa Lakes Community College in Spencer. After graduating from college, Rachel worked with Special Needs children in the Spencer schools. She also worked at Rosenboom Manufacturing and Walmart in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoyed making magnets, tie blankets, Harley Davidson, Michigan football, tattoos and most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Rachel passed away on March 8, 2025, at the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 49. She was preceded in death by her mother, Diana; maternal grandparents, T. Lee and Leone Manley; paternal grandparents, Jesse and Ann Walvoord; her father figure, Ralph Kabrick.

She is survived by her daughter, Storm Walvoord of Spencer, IA; her dad, Jon Walvoord of Oregon; sister, Felecia (Scott) Kloewer of Spencer, IA; brother Jon (Jodi) Walvoord of West Des Moines, IA; two nieces: Brittany and Livia; four nephews: Bryan, Mak, Keegan and Cooper; great niece, Lana; great nephew, Forrest; Aunt, Alice (Randy) Roghair of Royal, IA; other relatives and many friends.
