It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rachelle Anastasia Phillips, a cherished daughter, mother, sister, and friend, who left this world on February 26, 2026, at the age of 33. Rachelle was born on July 10, 1992, in Naval Air Station, Oak Harbor, Washington

Rachelle was the beloved daughter of Richard and Dawn Phillips, who raised her with love, guiding her along a path of compassion and kindness. She was the devoted Sister to Samantha Rose Phillips and a nurturing and loving mother to her precious Son, Stefen Richard Gamarra, with whom she shared countless cherished moments and adventures. Her spirit will continue to live on in him, as he was her greatest joy and inspiration in her life.

A graduate of George Mason University, Rachelle earned her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2015, a testament to her dedication to understanding and helping others. Her professional life was spent at Christ Community Church & School, where she was known for her passion for developing curriculum and her commitment to teaching and nurturing the minds and hearts of children. Her impact was profound, as she was not only a teacher, but a mentor and a friend to many.

Rachelle was a member of Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia, where she found solace and community. Her faith was a guiding light her whole life.

Though her time with us was brief, Rachelle's life was filled with love, laughter, and purpose. She was predeceased by her Grandmother Beverly Rose Smith, Grandfather Richard Edward Smith, and Uncle Christopher Michael Smith, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in Heaven. She is survived by her Son Stefen Richard Gamarra, Father Richard Franklin Phillips, Mother Dawn Hope Phillips, Sister Samantha Rose Phillips and Grandmother Pamela Anwyll, who along with her family and friends, will miss her dearly.

Rachelle's love for her family was evident in all she did, especially in the countless hours she spent with her son Stefen. Together, they explored the world around them, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A service to celebrate Rachelle's beautiful life will be held on March 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, located at 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE., Leesburg, VA 20176.
