Rachelle Rutledge Woike

Rachelle Rutledge Woike 73 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 26th with her loving husband Mark by her side. Rachelle was the daughter of the late Bernard V. Rutledge and May Louise Napolitano Rutledge. Rachelle grew up in Middletown and was a graduate of Mercy High School. After high school she received her hair dressing license from the state of Connecticut. She also held licenses in New York and Florida. After several years Rachelle decided to change occupations and earned her CNA certificate from the state of Connecticut. She worked at a few different nursing homes before moving on to private duty, working with hospice patients for a few years, then joining the VNA in Middletown. She retired in '92 due to an injury.

Besides her husband she leaves behind several cousins, close friends and her husbands family. Burial will be held in the Spring of 2026 at Minor Street Cemetery. Biaga Funeral Home will be in charge of services. Services will be private.
