Rafael E. Coreas, age 59.
Rafael “Lito” Coreas, born in La Paz, El Salvador, passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, devotion, and unwavering love for his family and community. He was the cherished son of Raul Reyes and Lila Coreas.
As a teenager, Rafael emigrated to the United States, where he built a meaningful life through determination and resilience. He began his career as a realtor and later dedicated many years of service to the City of Chicago. Known for his tireless work ethic and genuine spirit, Rafael was also a committed volunteer, always ready to lend a hand and give back to those around him.
Rafael’s greatest motivation in life was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Coreas, his devoted son, Cristian Jonathan Coreas, and his beloved daughter, Dianna Victoria Coreas. His love for them was the foundation of everything he did.
An adventurous soul, Rafael had a deep appreciation for nature, especially the beach, and shared a special bond with animals. He embraced every opportunity to travel and never hesitated to try new and unfamiliar cuisines, always welcoming new experiences with curiosity and joy.
Above all, Rafael was a man of faith. His strong belief in God guided his actions and brought comfort and strength to him and those who knew him.
He will be remembered for his generosity, his adventurous heart, and the deep love he held for his family and faith.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 3-8 p.m. at M. Martinez Funeral Home, 5800 W. 63rd St. Service at 6 pm
