Raffaela "Rae Ann" Amorosi

Loving Mother, Grandmother, Wife and Sister
Raffaela (Dolly, Rae Ann) Amorosi, 83, of Belleville, passed away on June 23, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she moved to Belleville in 1950, where she resided for almost 75 years. A loving mother to her children and grandchildren: the very center of her universe and, always a loyal friend, who loved being with her girlfriends. Although happiest when surrounded by her family, she adored making memories with anyone who tagged along to her happy places, Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
She is survived by her children Melinda (Michael) Edmundson, Margret (Dr. Joseph) Follo and Jay (Alicia) Amorosi; her brothers Cres DiConstanzo, Sal DiConstanzo, Frank DiCostanzo and Peter DeSarno; grandchildren Nicole Mesce, Danielle Mesce, Vic (Maggie, Emma & Mia) Mesce, Michelle Gilbert, Rachel Gilbert, Jessica Gilbert and all of her grandfurbabies. She was Aunt Dolly to many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Frank DiCostanzo and the late Mildred (Giannino) DeSarno, stepdaughter of the late Anthony DeSarno, sister of the late Anthony DeSarno, Jr. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Gerald Joseph Amorosi, her daughter Jeri Lynn Gilbert, and her grandson, Dominick Mesce.
The funeral will be Friday, June 28, 2024, at 9:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley. The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at Holy Family Church, Nutley.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, June 28, 2024, from 4-8pm.
Cremation will be private.
