Raji Khalil Juma, 87, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on May 22, 1935 in Beitin West Bank, Palestine, to the late Khalil and Khadija Juma. Mr. Juma came to the states in the 50s and began working in Chicago. He attended University of North Carolina Pembroke and Appalachian State University, obtaining a degree in history.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Johnson Juma, daughter, Amira Raji Juma, and his siblings. He is survived by six children: Shereef Raji Juma (Angela) of Kernersville, Raji Khalil Juma II of Raleigh, James Juma of Wilmington, Amana Juma Young (Billy) of Greensboro, Susie Juma of Wilmington, and Aya Raji Juma of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren: Ethan, William, and Wyatt; and many other loving family members.
A traditional Islamic funeral was held at Annoor Cemetery on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
