Ralph Tucker Attebery, aged 83, passed away on August 25, 2024 in Bartlesville, OK after a brief illness. He was born on August 24, 1941 in Bartlesville. The oldest child of Santa Clare Attebery Eddy and Curtis Lee Attebery, Tucker was raised in Farmington, NM and graduated from Farmington High School in 1959. After serving in the United States Air Force, he graduated from Fort Lewis College and embarked on a career as a petroleum geologist, eventually founding Attebery Geological Services. He later worked as a stockbroker for Dean Witter Reynolds. Tucker returned to Oklahoma in 1995 to restore and care for the beloved family farm where he grew up: Tucker Mission Creek Ranch. Tucker was a lifelong reader and student, who knew just enough about everything to be dangerous. Particular loves included dancing, classic corvettes, western culture, wooden boats, and loyal canine companions.
Tucker is survived by his five children: Tamaris Troy Attebery, Curtis Tucker Attebery (Maria), Anna Joyce Attebery, Catherine Clare Attebery (Christy), and Michael Tucker Attebery (Stephanie). He is survived by nine grandchildren: Rebecca Joyce Milton, Jessica Licette Brooks, Christopher Tucker Attebery, Hassan Sakhakhni, Israa Sakhakhni, Fouad Sakhakhni, Nabil Sakhakhni, Amnah Sakhakhni, and Charley Attebery, as well as one great-grandchild, Ryder Tucker Brooks and his sister Santa Clare Cantrell. He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his younger sister, Linda Andrews. The family would like to thank Marilyn Fuller for her care, love and support for Tucker over the last seven years.
A Memorial Service will be held August 29th at St. James Catholic Church, 5500 Douglas Ln, Bartlesville, OK 74006. Viewing will start at 8:30am, Rosary at 9:30am and Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
For those who would like to make a donation on behalf of Tucker, his preferred charities include St. Joseph Indian School and St. Labadie Indian School.
