He was a patient, loving and supportive husband and father.
Born on December 25, 1933, in Macomb County, Michigan, Ralph was the middle of three siblings. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Airforce. His love of science and math led him to pursue a career in Engineering. He graduated from the Indiana Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and went on to earn his master’s degree in Metallurgy and Material Sciences from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. For over two decades he worked as a Senior Engineer with AT&T earning patents for his engineering design work.

He had a strong faith and believed in living with purpose. He served as an elder in his church, volunteered as a math tutor and was well known in the neighborhood as a handyman who could fix almost anything.
