Lewis Leader
November 30, 2023
More than 18 months after he passed away, I am sorry to learn of the passing of Ralph. I got to know him during the summers of 1969 and 1970 as we were part of the federally funded Project Upward Bound program held on the campus of Bennett College in Millbrook, NY. Ralph was warm, compassionate, dedicated and likable. He was one of teachers who spent weekdays with the high school students. I was a tutor-counselor who lived on the college campus with the students during those summers. Ralph helped to make those experiences worthwhile and, clearly, I remember them well . . . Terry Simunek just told me Ralph passed away.
My sincere condolences. My father Ed Dobson (Dapkiewicz) played on teams with Ralph, I think for Our Lady of Grace in the Bronx. I have a great picture of the whole team, and I think Ralph is also in it. Please let me know if you'd like a copy of that picture. Best regards. Rich Dobson
