Ralph Carlson Obituary
He was born on Saturday, August 16, 1947, in Laramie, Wyoming to Alvin and Mable Carlson of Rock River, Wyoming. He was raised in Rock River until he was 16 and then relocated to Wheatland. Ralph lived a life marked by hard work, faith in God, and love for his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, reading, raising a variety of animals on his small farm, and creating things in his woodshop. Those who knew him will forever cherish his poetry, wisdom, and love of the outdoors.
Ralph married Calla Olson on January 8, 1966, and together they shared 60 wonderful years. He is survived by his wife, Calla; daughters, Connie Carlson (Ann Cope) of Loveland, Colorado, Rhonda (Doug) Harvison of Lafayette, Colorado, and Cristy (Paul) Aguirre of Winchester, California; grandchildren, Zachary Hedstrom of Boulder, Colorado, Austin Hedstrom of Lafayette, Colorado, Andrew Harvison of Durango, Colorado, Nancy Wynstra-Cope (Ben Mortensen) of Seattle, Washington, Andre (Ashley) Aguirre of Fort Eustis, Virginia, Marcus Aguirre of Commerce City, Colorado, and Xander Aguirre of Norfolk, Virginia; great grandchildren, Lyric Lockridge, Harmonie Lockridge, Giovannie Aguirre all of Fort Eustis, Virginia. Other survivors include sister, Linda Schirmer of Wheatland and brother-in-law, Lester (Sue) Olson of Gering, Nebraska; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Carlson.
Ralph worked at Safeway as a butcher for 22 years, owned his own business, and finished his career at Basin Electric Power Plant where he worked for 16 years.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Gorman Funeral Home in Wheatland, Wyoming at 11:00 A.M. with Connie Carlson facilitating the service. Interment will follow at the Wheatland Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the VFW Hall in Wheatland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Eden Care for their compassionate care and support.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
