Ralph E. Davis, Sr. of Boston Mass, passed away peacefully on January 2, following a long period of health and medical issues. Ralph was born to the late James H. Davis, Jr. and Vera Thompson in Boston on November 24, 1943. Growing up in several sections of Boston, Roxbury, with two sisters and three brothers. Ralph was the fourth born child and the second son. Ralph attendant Boston Public schools. Prior to Ralph's health and wellness issues he was a smart, very intelligent man, known as a good friend, happy go lucky person with great laughter, and known to looking out for his friends and relatives.

Ralph met his real first love when he traveled to South Carolina with his best friend to visit with his friend's aunt & family. Ralph's friend's cousin, Dorothy Ann & Ralph connected right away. Dorothy had plans to move to Boston to attend college, following her high school graduation and that is exactly what happened.

Ralph joined the U.S. Army. The couple married in 1962, at age 19. Shortly thereafter, Dorothy joined her husband in Germany, where he was stationed. In 1964, Ralph, Jr. was born to the couple in Germany. Ralph completed his term in the Army and received a honorable discharge. Their daughter Angela was born in February 1967.

Ralph, Sr. worked several jobs early on. He worked with the Sand Blasting Company, also, a company with his brother Leon. He worked under Mayor Kevin White with Model Cities as a city housing inspector. Ralph was also a State Delegate and a Mason for a period of time.

When his tenor at Model Cities had ended Ralph was hired and worked for MBTA starting September 15, 1983, to which he worked until he retired on November 1, 2005. Ralph also served in the National Guard for a period of time during the 80s.

Doing the early years, Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, family outings, and family gatherings. Always wanting to be with his children, nieces, and nephews when they were younger. All the while struggling with alcoholism for many years. "You don't need to know the whole story just know that God has the Glory!"

Ralph, Sr. was predeceased by his parents, the late Vera Davis Thompson and James H. Davis Jr., his sisters; Sylvia Mitchell and Florence Taylor and his brother James (Jimmy) H. Davis III, who just recently gained his wings on September 19, 2024.

Ralph, Sr is survived by his caring and supportive wife, Dorothy of Hyde Park, MA, his son, Ralph E. Davis, Jr. (Felicia), of Brockton, MA, his daughters, Angela Davis (Percy) of Dorchester, MA and Lianne Davis of Dorchester, MA. His 4 grandchildren; Michael Davis Malcum, Ariana Davis, Jasmine Silva Cannady (Tevan) and Jovan Davis. His Great Grandchildren; Sanye Johnson, Tevin, Jr., Silva Cannnady, and Samiya Silva Cannady. Ralph, Sr. is also survived by his brothers, Leon Chester Davis (Cora) of S.C., and Paul Davis of Boston, MA.
