Ralph B. Dysart

Ralph B. Dysart passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at his home in Dallas, TX. He was born March 6, 1920, in Asheville and was married for 39 years to Dorothy Christine Pinkston, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his four brothers and sisters. Ralph is survived by his two daughters, Linda D. Keatts and husband, Wayne, and Barbara Easter and husband, Larry; three grandchildren, Drew Keatts, Blake Easter, and Bethany Easter. Ralph grew up in Asheville and played football and baseball at Wake Forest College until he was drafted into the Army. He served as a decorated Master Sergeant during World War II. After his marriage to Dorothy August 9, 1947, the couple moved to Chicago and then in 1961 to Dallas. Ralph was a pharmaceutical sales representative and worked for S.B. Penick, in his father's company, for 27 years. He later left the company to be a sales rep for several lines. He loved all sports and was an avid golfer at Oak Cliff Country Club in Dallas, where he won many tournaments throughout his life. Everyone who met Ralph thought he was the life of the party and he will be missed by his family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Green Hills Cemetery with military honors being provided by the Asheville High School Marine JROTC.
