Ralph Fisher Obituary
Ralph had a deep love for all outdoor activities, with a particular fondness for mountain and road biking, hiking, cross country skiing, sailing, and kayaking. He cherished the breathtaking landscapes of Park City, Utah, where he spent countless hours engaging in his passions and creating lasting memories with his loved ones.
Ralph's academic journey led him to earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He dedicated 35 years of his professional life to McDonnell Douglas and an additional 10 years at Evans & Sutherland, where he not only excelled in his work but also took great joy in teaching and mentoring young engineers, sharing his wealth of knowledge and wisdom.
An inventor at heart, Ralph loved tinkering in his garage and had a remarkable talent for fixing anything. His projects included restoring classic cars, including a Model-T Ford Truck and an Austin Healey bugeye sprite, which became a testament to his creativity and determination.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Donna; his sons, Jeff (Brenda) and Tom Fisher; and his cherished grandchildren, Crystal (Nathan) Spruill and Jeffrey Fisher II. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched through his mentorship and friendship. Ralph's spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who shared his love for the outdoors and his ingenuity.
A memorial service celebrating Ralph's life will be held at a later date. In honor of Ralph's love for adventure and the great outdoors, the family encourages all to partake in an outdoor activity in his memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to organizations that support Parkinson's research, environmental conservation and engineering education, causes he was passionately committed to.
Rest in peace, Ralph. Your legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.
