Ralph Bernard Kinney Jr., 71, passed away on October 7, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts. Born on September 4, 1954, in
Presque Isle, Maine, Ralph lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and community.
Ralph was the proud owner of a NASCAR store that he operated from his home on the main road in Bridgewater. His passion for racing extended beyond business - he was an avid racer at Spud Speedway and loved working on Jeeps and cars. His mechanical skills and enthusiasm for motorsports were well known among those who knew him.
For over two decades, Ralph dedicated himself to serving the town of Bridgewater. His commitment to his community was evident in his hard work and reliability. Whether through his professional contributions or personal interactions, Ralph left a lasting impact on those around him.
A man of deep faith, Ralph loved the Lord and found great joy in traveling to churches to share his testimony. His spiritual journey was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both joyful times and periods of illness with unwavering strength and grace.
Ralph shared 52 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Debbie Kinney. Together they built a strong and loving family. He is remembered with love by his son Trevor Kinney and his partner Saria Hanscomb, his grandchildren Keagan Kinney (married to Grace), Noah Hanscomb, Kooper Kinney (engaged to Emily Jackson), Makenzie Kinney, Kale Kinney, Kohen Kinney, Aubri Adams, and Presley Kinney; as well as his great-grandchildren Maverick Ralph Kinney and Meredith Marie Kinney. He also held a special place in his heart for Katie Landry-a daughter figure-mother of Aubri and Presley.
Ralph's family circle included his sister Cherry Davis and her husband Charlie Davis. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph Kinney Sr. and Arlene (Bradstreet), his father- and mother-in-law Richard and Alice Pratt, and his son Travis Kinney.
He will be remembered not only for his generosity and kindness but also for his sense of humor-always ready with a joke-and for being a fighter through sickness. Above all else, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren and enjoyed hunting trips that brought him closer to nature.
Ralph's loyal dog Lassie was always by his side- a faithful companion who brought him comfort throughout the years.
A graveside service will be held on October 16th at 3:00 p.m. at Smith Cemetery in Bridgewater.
May Ralph's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a reminder of a life lived with purpose, love, and unwavering faith.
