Ralph Paul Pezzulo
February 27, 1931 – June 14, 2025
Ralph Pezzulo, a proud Marine Corps Veteran, devoted family man, and lover of golf & fishing, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, at the vibrant age of 94.
Born on February 27, 1931, to Antonio and Antonia Pezzula, Italian immigrants who became known as Anthony and Antoinette Pezzulo after their arrival through Ellis Island, Ralph carried with him a strong sense of heritage and resilience throughout his life.
Ralph served honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, a chapter of his life he held with great pride. After the military, he returned to Yonkers, where he spent his early years as a golf caddy before going on to be a very accomplished golfer, with a remarkable 14 holes-in-one. Before retiring, Ralph finished his career as the Director of the Police Fresh Air Fund. He often credited Florida's sunshine and lifestyle as the reason for his long and vibrant life. Ralph was a resident of the Tropic Bay Community for 32 years and was a member of the golf league and yacht club.
A man who found joy in teaching others, Ralph shared his love of fishing and golf with his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and anyone lucky enough to spend time with him. He was known for his warm guidance, steady patience, and endless stories.
Ralph endured great loss with grace and quiet strength. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Louis Pezzulo, sister Mary Krakowiak, beloved daughter Catherine Marie Turner, who passed in 2003 at the age of 40, his cherished wife Lucia Pezzulo, who passed in 2011; and his best friend and brother-in-law Joseph Klausz, who passed in 2023.
Ralph is now reunited with his loved ones in heaven and leaves behind a family who will forever carry his memory. He is survived by his sister Nancy Klausz; two stepchildren, William Bihler and Patricia Marroquin; three grandchildren, Stephen Turner, Erica Turner, and Christopher Turner; and four great-grandchildren, Michael, Noah, Sophia, and Grace.
Ralph's presence was a gift to all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom will live on through the many lives he touched.
