Ralph Donald Sanders

Ralph Donald Sanders, age 78, of Cottondale, AL passed away on March 4, 2025, at Hospice of West Alabama. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Bro. Buddy Price and Rev. Blake Mohling officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Sanders; daughter, Kristi Bardon; son, Michael Sanders; and parents, Eligie and Beatrice Sanders.
He is survived by his son-in-law, Jimmy Bardon (Belynda); sister-in-law, Glenda Broughton and Delores Wallace; brother-in-law, Clayton Hallman (Shelia); grandchildren, Lisa Smith, Kaylee Miller (Rory), and Chastity Faulkner (Jason); cousin, Terrell Wheat (Ann) and an abundance of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ralph married Judy on April 22, 1967 and was married for 57 years. He graduated from Central High School. He worked as an electrician at the Jim Walter Mines and the University of Alabama. Ralph enjoyed American Greeting cards attending numerous singings at churches around the community. He had a special love for gospel music and could be found listening to music on his phone.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Bardon, Jeff Wallace, Mark Wallace, Mike Merriam Jr., William Smith, and Mickey Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers are nurses and staff at Hospice of West Alabama, staff at DCH Regional Medical Center, Hunter Creek Rehab, Pro Health Home Care, B Home Care, Holten Heights Church of the Nazarene, Charles Bardon, and Lisa Price.
