KINGSPORT - Ralph Tipton, 89, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Orchard View. He was born on June 7, 1936, in Scott County, Virginia to the late Howard and Gladys (Ketron) Tipton.
Ralph was a gardener and landscaper by trade. He took pride in his gardening and landscaping skills. Ralph liked everyone. He never met a stranger. He was an amazing person inside and out. People that crossed his path will understand this. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Gladys (Ketron) Tipton; brother, James Tipton; sisters, Wanda Tankersley, Betty Hicks and Mabeline Honaker.
Ralph is survived by his sons, Stephen Tipton (Melissa Brooks), and Thomas Tipton (Deborah); grandchildren, Stephanie Wilkinson (David), Jennifer Welshimer (John), Hailey Tipton and Erick Pendleton (Ashley); and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5pm – 7pm on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Elder Chad Crawford and Elder Phil Flanary officiating.
