Ramesh Moonsammy. Born June 18, 1946, to Little Boy Moonsammy and Sookia Ramdeen in Tuna Puna, Pasea Village in Trinidad. Ramesh is survived by his loving wife, Shanty; three children Ravi (Angela), Rajesh (Renee) and Debbie (Anthony); and five grandchildren, Andrew, Kristina, Kaitlyn, Nicholas and Kara; his sisters Shanty, Krishendaye, Mala, Indra, Kumarie and Maria, his brothers Harrydass and Dave and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Ramesh was a fun loving and spirited boy who loved to climb coconut trees, pick mangoes and find someway to get himself into mischief. Ramesh attended CM School, but soon learned that he had a passion for cars. Ramesh would skip school and go spend the day with a local mechanic learning the different tools and how they worked. One day, his father caught Ramesh at the mechanic's shop and was not too pleased that his son, who he had hoped was going to be a doctor, was not in school. Ramesh was able to show his father that he was learning the trade and it was very interesting to him. They made a deal for the mechanic to teach Ramesh all the skills needed to be a Class "A" mechanic. Ramesh worked in the Charles MCaneny automobile plant at a young age until he left for the United States. When Ramesh came to America, he worked for the biggest plant on the East Coast for Ford Motor Company. The family lived in New York and Ramesh worked in New Jersey. So it was an easy decision to move everyone closer to his job in New Jersey. Ramesh excelled at being a mechanic and was continuously being sent for training on new technical advancements and earned countless certifications and awards. Over the years Ramesh also worked for Oldmobile and Chevy dealerships as their Class "A" mechanic. After retirement when Ramesh and Shanty moved to Florida, he continued to help his friends and worked on cars as a hobby. He loved to see a shiny, clean car with a fresh coat of wax! But above all else, Ramesh loved his wife, children, grandchildren, family and dear friends. We know that he has touched so many hearts and that each of you have fond memories of him. We, the family, ask that you keep these memories alive and laugh when you remember them. We all know that he enjoyed a good laugh. In every card he sent to his family he would write the words, "live, laugh, love". That's how he lived his life; he lived each day to the fullest, he laughed as much as possible and he gave lots of love.

Services:  Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.  A service will be  held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
