Ramilaben R. Vashee
September 26th 1938 – May 17th, 2023
Loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her compassionate heart and tender soul will be deeply missed.
Ramilaben Vashee passed away on May 17th, 2023 at 84 years of age in Tulsa, OK. She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on September 28th, 1938. She was the youngest of four siblings, with two older brothers and an older sister.
Ramilaben was married to the late Ramanlal Vashee in 1955 in Nadod, India. After marriage they moved to Zambia where they raised four children, Janak, Kirti, Nila & Bhavna. The family then moved to Canada in 1986 where they celebrated the birth of grandkids and mourned the loss of her husband Ramanlal Vashee. In 2007 she moved to Tulsa, OK with her son, where her two daughters lived. She frequently visited her second home in New Jersey where her eldest son and family live.
Ramilaben was a quiet, but passionate woman. She held strong in her religious beliefs, while still being exceptionally kind, welcoming and accepting to all. Laughably, she shared that same passion in her love for chips and ice cream.
Ramilaben was a fighter. Over the last 3 years she fought her way back to health from various heart and lung issues, each time working back to full independent living. Unfortunately, this last time, her lungs were just not strong enough to keep going, even though we know her mind and soul had the fight in her. She passed peacefully at Saint Francis hospital after a month-long fight against pneumonia.
She enjoyed her time with her big family, often watching from the side smiling & enjoying the world she helped create. The memory of her will be missed, but never forgotten.

Daughters: Nila Naik & husband Paresh Naik, Bhavna Desai & husband Kalpesh Desai
Grandkids: Hita Desai & husband Nirav Desai, Bhavisha Patel & husband Vimal Patel, Hemani Bhagat & husband Bhavin Bhagat, Rati Kanani & husband Ravi Kanani, Kishan Vashee, Ravi Desai, Krupa Patel & husband Vickesh Patel.
Greatgrandkids: Ariyan Patel, Niam Bhagat, Om Desai, Liya Patel, Jayen Bhagat, Arjun Kanani
