Ramon Alaniz Obituary
ALANIZ
Ramon C. Alaniz Jr., 80 years of age, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in San Diego, Texas on February 21, 1945, to his parents, Ramon and Julia Alaniz. Ramon began his career in the oil field at the age of 16 and was owner and operator of RA Well Service and Oil Production. Ramon was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed barbequing and listening to live music and enjoying a cold beer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family, and will be sadly missed by everyone.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years of marriage, Evangelina G. Alaniz; son, Jose Benito Alaniz; three daughters, Thelma DeLa Garza, Laura Lee Salinas, and Julia Ann Alaniz; his parents, Ramon and Julia Alaniz; three brothers, Luis Felipe Alaniz, Jose Fransico Alaniz, and Israel C. Alaniz; grandson, Richard Alaniz Jr.
Ramon was survived by his son, Richard (Angie) Alaniz of Freer, Texas; daughter, Linda (Joaquin) Esparza of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Juan Manuel (Elma) Alaniz of Freer, Texas; sister, Norma Alaniz (+Sergio) Garcia of Alice, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Garza Funeral Home in Freer, Texas with a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. that morning. Interment will follow at Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, Texas
