Ramon Armendariz Jr., 16, of Amarillo, TX passed away December 21, 2025.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Ramon was born on January 18, 2009, in Amarillo, TX to Ramon Armendariz and Angela Ramos.
Ramon was an amazing, protective, and proud big brother and son. He had a huge heart and would do anything for the people he loved. That included opening his bedroom to anyone that needed a place to stay and bringing home animals that gave his mom the creeps. He was a caring and loving friend. A funny and mischievous nephew and grandson, who never missed an opportunity to say, "You know I'm your favorite". He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with the ones he loved. He was always joking, and trying to get people to laugh, and he had no problem reminding everyone that he was, in fact, extremely handsome and had great hair- and honestly, he wasn't wrong. His smile was infectious, and so was his laugh. He could have fun anywhere he went and made sure everyone else did too. He made friends into brothers and would give the shirt off his back to anyone that was in need. He turned "his" home into "our" home every chance he could, inviting everyone into our extremely blended and colorful family. His spirit and love have no boundaries and will continue to live on in our hearts.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Destany Salas.
Ramon is survived by his parents, Angela Ramos and Jesus Salas; father, Ramon Armendariz; brothers, Angel Romeo Armendariz, Abelino Jesus Salas, and Daymien Elijah Armendariz; sisters, Annalisia Tena, Arianna Salas, Dalylah Salas, and Savanna Yaneth Armendariz; best friends, Chino and Ollie; and favorite cousin, Eloy; grandparents, Mary and Vidal Ramos, Flor and Benji Garza, and Ignacio “Nacho” and Ruby Godino; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and a host a friends.
