Ramona Herrmann

Ramona Herrmann, age 81, of Sibley, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010, at the Country View Manor in Sibley. Memorial Services will Monday, January 18, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sibley. Rev. Scott Meyer officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 17, from 2:30 to 6:00 P.M. with the family present from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. all at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sibley. Burial will be at a later date in the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley. Ramona J. Herrmann was born on June 25, 1928, in Melvin, Iowa. She was the daughter of Paul R. and Marie Anna (Schlicht) Mitchell. She lived her youth in Sibley, where she attended school and graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to Warren (Walt) Herrmann of Sibley, Iowa, on July 15, 1951. They lived in Sibley, where Ramona worked at Sibley Abstract for many years. After the children were grown, she worked at the local drug store, in sales, for many years, retiring in 2007. She was a lifetime member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sibley, where she was in charge of serving Sunday morning coffee and served on many committees. She was active in the church choir and was dedicated to music. Ramona enjoyed using her talent and sang in a duet, many times. She enjoyed reading novels, walking, and traveling. Walt and Ramona traveled to Alaska, and across the U.S.A. and Canada. Ramona will be remembered as a very giving person to her family, church and community. She passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010, at the Country View Manor in Sibley. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband: Walt Herrmann of Sibley, IA; two daughters: Ann and husband Vahe Tatoian and their children: Christopher Tatoian and Erica Tatoian of Glendora, CA; Kay and husband Joe Greve and their children: Stephanie Greve and Andrea Greve of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister: Carmen (Dick) Henkel of Phoenix, AZ; one sister-in-law: Lavonne Mitchell of Spirit Lake, IA. She was preceded in death by her son: Tom Herrmann, her parents, and one brother: Don Mitchell. In Loving Memory Of Ramona J.
