Ramona P. Seib

Ramona P. Seib (Garner) of Cumberland, Md., passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 10, 2026.

Born in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Sutton) Garner and Curtis Garner. Ramona devoted her life to caring for others. She lovingly operated a daycare for several years while raising her six children and later worked as a baker for the Allegany County Board of Education. She was well known for her homemade cinnamon rolls and was always baking for family, friends and anyone who crossed her path.

A devoted Christian, Ramona faithfully attended Central Assembly of God in Cumberland, Md, where she sang in the choir and at local nursing homes,with the ladies' ministry. She read her Bible daily, often sharing Scripture with those she met. She was especially proud to have received the Mother of the Year award from Central Assembly of God. Above all, she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her Grammy and GiGi.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Frederick Seib; her children, Julia Mills and husband Edward Jr., Frederick Seib and companion Bridget, Mary Ritter and husband Melvin, Barbara Riffey and husband Gene, Suzanne Nutter and husband David, and Lisa VanMeter; her brothers, Jack Garner (Ila) and Martin Garner; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Anna Mae Ramhoff, James "Jimmy" Garner, Curtis "Artie" Garner and Mary Lou Hook, her grandchildren Eric Mills, Timothy Nutter and John Nutter.

Family and friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, Md., on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

A funeral service will be conducted at Central Assembly of God, 2020 Bedford Street, Cumberland, MD, on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Doug Seaman and Paul Demers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A private family interment will be in Maryland Veterans' Cemetery at Rocky Gap.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to caregivers Mandy, Karin and Lexi for the loving care they provided to our mom.
