Randal "Randy" Streveler, 63, of Madison, WI, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire while under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Randy was born May 5, 1960, in Eau Claire, the son of Harold and Eileen (Schultz) Streveler. He attended St. James Grade School and graduated from Eau Claire Regis High School in 1978. After graduation, Randy attended Brown Institute in Minneapolis, studying broadcasting.
After graduation from Brown Institute, Randy obtained his first broadcasting job in Mobridge SD, and then later in
Charles City, IA. Later, Randy moved to Madison, WI, where he remained until very recently. While in Madison, Randy worked at several businesses, making many friends and acquaintances along the way.
Randy had a variety of personal interests, but mainly music and sports of all kinds. His favorite sports teams were of course the GB Packers, and Milwaukee Brewers, as well as his "hometown" Wisconsin Badgers. In addition, Randy enjoyed going to concerts. Being a cheerful and easygoing guy, Randy had plenty of friends to share his passions.
Randy is survived by his mother, Eileen; three siblings, Allan (Sharon) Streveler of Wabasha, MN, Dennis (Trish) Streveler of Eau Claire, and Lori Streveler of Eau Claire; and by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Saint James the Greater Catholic Church in Eau Claire with Father Thomas Kreig celebrating the mass. Inurnment will immediately follow the service at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum located at Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
