Jim Dorgan

Randy Brenza, pictured here in our "band" in the Dorgan basement on Tripp in July of 1967. He´s singing into a vacuum cleaner attachment, accompanied by the late Jimmy Kaleckas on guitar, Janis Dorgan Wilson in her Communion dress, brother Roger in the green shirt with brushes and Dennis Williamson playing what appears to be a souvenir bat and me in the back on drums. We were best friends when we were kids. In fact, Randy´s the reason I´m a South Side Cubs fan. We used to play wiffle ball out of his garage and he always wanted to be the White Sox so I had to be the Cubs, which turned out to be pretty exciting in the summer of 1969.We lost touch after high school but thanks to the Tripp street reunion hosted by Jimmy´s sister Lynn Kaleckas Vithoulkas-Setlak in 2014, we picked up where we left off 40+ years before, if only for an afternoon.Rest In Peace, Randy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family.
