Randall "Randy" Rex Crawford, age 69, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, in his home in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
Randy was born March 4th, 1955, in Austin, Minnesota to William and Beverly Crawford (Hansen). He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1973. Randy was united in marriage to Shirley Attig on June 20th, 1975. To this union two children were born, Troy and Todd.
Randy made a lifelong career at Lou-Rich, starting in 1972 as the first shop employee of the company until his retirement as a senior manufacturing engineer in 2014. He truly enjoyed his job and met every challenge head on, working hard to find better ways and innovations.
He enjoyed fishing, hot rods, listening to music around the fire, and finding a good deal at estate sales, auctions, and rummage sales. Randy could talk to anyone anywhere, bonding over classic cars, travel, sales, and having a good time. In their retirement, Randy and Shirley enjoyed traveling and camping, especially going to Rockport, Texas for the winter. They formed forever friendships with fellow "snowbirds".
Randy is survived by Shirley, his wife of 49 years; sons, Troy (Andrea Olson) and Todd (Holly Stenseth); brothers, Craig (Karen) Crawford, Bryan Crawford, Larry (Mary Armstrong) Crawford, and Mitch (Gina) Wadding; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his loving dog, Maya Pup.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, William and Beverly; stepmother, Eileen (Wendelboe) Crawford; brother, James Crawford; sister, Angela MacIntosh; mother and father-in-law, Lyle and Caroline Attig; sister-in-law, Cindy Crawford; and brother-in-law, Kelvin Attig.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Marar and St. Croix Hospice for providing excellent care to Randy.
Randy's family will receive guests at Bonnerup in Albert Lea on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM with a luncheon from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
