Randall Joseph Dennen, a man whose life was a testament to love, kindness, and fellowship, peacefully entered eternal rest on September 21, 2025, in Auburn, Kansas.
Born on September 12, 1957, in
Topeka, Kansas, Randall's journey was marked by the joy he found in simple pleasures, his deep faith, and the love he shared with his family and community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay Joseph Dennen and Margaret Admire Dennen, and his cherished daughter, Jessica Rose Dennen Berkstresser. His legacy continues to thrive through his beloved wife, Jona Dennen, with whom he shared a bond that was the envy of many. Together, they created countless memories that will endure through time. Randall's life was further enriched by his children and Spouses, Randi and Ashley Blitch of South Carolina, Shamra Bell and Xavier of Topeka, and Jeremiah Dennen of Georgia, Tracey Pendland Tanner and Melissa of Missouri. His role as a grandfather to Christianna and Michael Hojnowski, Laci Garvalia, Jayden Dennen, Jordan Blitch, Tressa Martinez, Summer Alter, Austin Alter Faith Dennen, Rayce, Rinley, and Rylee Dennen, Arianna, and Terrin, and his eight great-grandchildren, was one he cherished with every fiber of his being.
A proud graduate of Seaman High School's class of 1975, Randall's commitment to service was evident throughout his life. His dedication shone brightly during his years as a volunteer firefighter with the Harleyville Fire Department, where he served the community of Harleyville, South Carolina, with courage and distinction.
Professionally, he brought his formidable work ethic and leadership to LMR Trucking, where he managed the fleet for 14 years in Charleston, South Carolina.
Randall's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his existence. It guided his actions and gave him the strength to face life's challenges with grace. This unwavering devotion was reflected in his interests, which included traveling to see the beauty of God's creation, fishing as a way to commune with nature, and racing, which echoed the thrill of life's transient journey.
Above all, Randall valued time with his family, understanding that "The most important things in life aren't things," a powerful sentiment from author Anthony J. D'Angelo that he carried in his heart. He lived this quote, prioritizing relationships and creating a welcoming home filled with warmth and love.
Randall's character was the epitome of what it means to be loving, kind, and friendly. His infectious smile and generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a friend to many, always ready with a helping hand or a word of encouragement. His absence will be deeply felt, but his memory will be celebrated by those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his remarkable life.
In remembrance of Randall Joseph Dennen, let us honor his memory by living out the values he embodied so perfectly. Let us love without reservation, offer kindness freely, and extend friendship to all. For in doing so, we keep the spirit of this extraordinary man alive, ensuring that his light continues to shine brightly, guiding us through the days to come.
Family will be holding a memorial service at a later date in SC.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made in memory of the fallen firefighters of 911 to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Statton Island, NY 01306..
