Randall G Hatfield of Johnston, Iowa went home to our Lord on July 10, 2024 with his family at his side during his hospitalization at the VA Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He fought a courageous battle for 21 months to survive a double lung transplant. Randy was a warrior.
Randy was born in Rockford, Il March 26, 1965. Randy graduated from Byron High School in Byron, Il. He soon enlisted in the United States Army, serving 4 years in South Korea. It was there he met and fell in love with Suk, his wife of 37 years. From this union, two children were born, Amanda and Duane. Randy was very proud of his family.
Randy worked 29 years in the post office and 20 years in the US Army where spent 1 tour in Afghanistan. Randy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Byron Baptist Church.
Left to celebrate his life are, loving Wife Suk of Johnston, IA., Daughter Amanda Hatfield of Iowa City, IA., Son Duane Hatfield (Jess) of Des Moines, IA., Sisters Diana (Orin) Snodgrass of Byron Il., Kim (David) Gorsegner of Loves Park Il., Brothers Brad (Trisha) Hatfield of Rockford, Il., and Bob (Harriet) Hatfield of Waterford, Ct., Stepsisters, DeAnna Klien of Byron Il., Debbie Wixom of Rockford, Il., Stepbrother, Jeff (Sylvia) Palmer of Dallas, TX., many loved Nieces and Nephews, loving Cousins, and wonderful supportive friends.
Randy was predeceased by his mother Helen Hatfield, father Duane Hatfield, and stepmother Judith Hatfield. Both his Grandma and Grandpa Whitmire and Grandpa and Grandma Hatfield, and stepbrother Jim Palmer.
Visitation Services to be held at 1:00 p.m. at North Point Church in Johnston.

With services to follow after visitation. Everyone is welcome to join us at a luncheon after the services. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Snider (Randy’s Youth Pastor) and Pastor (Jeremy Carr).
