RANDALL ROTH Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care on Mar. 26, 2026.
Randall S. "Randy" Roth

Resident of Schaumburg

Formerly of Hoffman Estates, Prospect Heights

Visitation for Randall S. "Randy" Roth, 71, will be on Sunday, March 29, from 2:00pm – 5:00pm at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Interment will be Tuesday, March 31 at noon at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Born April 13, 1954 in Chicago, Randy peacefully passed away March 19, 2026 in Elk Grove.

Randy will be remembered for a life defined by service, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of the outdoors. Randy proudly served the community as a Fire Fighter - Paramedic with Hoffman Estates for 27 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant. He also gave his time as a volunteer firefighter with Prospect Heights for three years, always answering the call to help others in their time of need.

Beyond his career, Randy was a devoted and loving husband to Maggi for 46 wonderful years, sharing a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering support. He found his greatest happiness in helping others, wherever he was, doing whatever they needed. He also found happiness in Nature; whether he was swimming, fishing, birdwatching or boating, especially in Eagle River, Wisconsin, a place that held a special spot in his heart. Randy could often be found outdoors, taking in the beauty around him, or relaxing with one of his favorite word search puzzles.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved dog, Bailey, who was a constant companion, as well as by all who knew and loved him.

Loving husband of Maggi; beloved father of Joseph (Tiffany) Roth; adored grandfather of Jayce, Hunter, Nash, Kip, and Hailee; adored brother of Pam (Art) Leimetter and Laurie (Pete) Donahue; dear friend and neighbor to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Rosemary Roth, his uncle Louis Schmude, and his aunt Virginia Schmude.
