Randell Joseph Byerly, 73, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on October 4, 1952, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Eldon Byerly and Doris (Rossdeutcher) Byerly.
Randell proudly served his country in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army National Guard and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. During his working years, he was employed on the assembly line at a plastic manufacturing plant.
On December 23, 1988, Randell was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Koshatka in Baraboo, Wisconsin. He was of the Baptist faith and loved his family dearly. Randell enjoyed spending his time fishing, motorcycling, and painting. His creativity, gentle spirit, and love for life will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Byerly of Salem, Arkansas; three stepsons, Mike Biesek (Diana) of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, David Biesek (Laura) of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, and Daniel Biesek of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin; three stepdaughters, Kathy Kinsman (Jim) of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Theresa Williams of Columbus, Georgia, and Maria Morris (Louis) of Salem, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Robert Byerly of Arizona and Chip Schneider (Lisa) of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; one sister, Ruth Christy (Mark) of Oswego, Illinois; and special friends, Dennis and Betty Dawson of Salem, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Doris Byerly; granddaughter, Jennifer King; and stepfather, Walter Schneider, Sr.
Randell will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, loyal friend, and proud veteran. His warmth, humor, and strength of character will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
