Randell Darling Obituary
Retired US Army Sergeant First Class Randell Darling, 70, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family.
Randell was a hard worker his whole life. He retired from the US Army after 20 years and then the US Postal Service after 24 years of service. When he was not working, he loved fishing, hunting, and gardening.
Randell is survived by his wife of 47 years, Anke; daughter, Bianca Darling-Wenger; son, Toby Darling; five grandchildren, Jacob, Ian, Dessa, Jennifer, and Jada; three great grandchildren, Luke, Maria, and Adam; two brothers, Norman and Charles; and four sisters, Cynthia, Cathy, Debbie, and Gail.
A memorial service to celebrate Randell’s life and to honor his military career will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 12 noon in Sullivan's Highland Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
